Greetings, we hope you had a great weekend!
A couple of months ago we brought you the story “When Art and Ocean Collide” about Jason deCaires Taylor, an innovative sculptor who creates living art by submerging his work under some of the most beautiful waters around the world.
As his sculptures continue growing coral, marine life begin settling in, creating their new home on the reef. One of his most acclaimed sites is Museo Subacuático de Arte, or MUSA, located in crystalline waters off the coast of Cancun, Isla Mujeres and Punta Nizuc. Since its submersion in 2009, marine life has begun to prosper.
Some lucky travelers have the privilege of diving or snorkeling the gallery. Recently, Jason and his crew created a Facebook Photo Contest to see submissions of his fans’ adventures on this baby reef. Below are a few of the beautiful images submitted.
