Bonnethead Shark Caught on Turtle Beach

Gary, one of our brokers, stumbled upon a freshly caught Bonnethead Shark on Turtle Beach yesterday. Bonnetheads are the smallest of the hammerhead shark family, growing to about 3 1/2 feet. They usually swim in small groups of 5 to 15. (Schools of hundreds to even thousands have been reported though!)

After the hook was gently removed from the shark’s mouth, it was released unharmed back into the sea. Never a dull day by the ocean!
