TGIF- Song of the Week

Happy Friday!

Song of the Week is back with one of our favorite boating songs, Bob Marley’s “One Love”. You can almost feel the warm sun on your skin and smell the salty air just listening to this feel-good, melodic classic.

Enjoy!

One love, One heart
Let’s get together and feel all right
Hear the children crying (One Love)
Hear the children crying (One Heart)
Sayin’ give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Sayin’ let’s get together and feel all right

Let them all pass all their dirty remarks (One Love)
There is one question I’d really love to ask (One Heart)
Is there a place for the hopeless sinner
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own?
Believe me

One Love, One Heart
Let’s get together and feel all right
As it was in the beginning (One Love)
So shall it be in the end (One Heart)
Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
One more thing

Let’s get together to fight this Holy Armageddon (One Love)
So when the Man comes there will be no no doom (One Song)
Have pity on those whose chances grove thinner
There ain’t no hiding place from the Father of Creation

Sayin’ One Love, One Heart
Let’s get together and feel all right
I’m pleading to mankind (One Love)
Oh Lord (One Heart)

Give thanks and praise to the Lord and I will feel all right
Let’s get together and feel all right

What’s your favorite boating song? We’d love to hear from you!

“Honey, Let’s Buy A Boat”

Lynn and Jackie Millikin, the newest members to our sales team, are avid boaters and 100 Ton Master Captains with Towing Certification. They have worked in the boating industry since 2003 as Brokers, Delivery Captains, Boating Instructors and Boat Show Manufacturing Reps. They have owned many different types and sizes of boats/yachts and cruised from the Northern Chesapeake to St. Petersburg.

Since catching the ‘boating bug’ in 2003, they have piloted their own boats over 20,000 miles. Their biggest adventure: The Great American Loop.

Sometimes you never know when a thought or a dream starts to develop but that is not the case for our Great Loop Adventure. We were sitting on the docks one weekend at an impromptu “dock tails” party discussing different peoples’ ideas of what was their boating adventure dream. Jackie and I talked about cruising the East Coast and Bahamas and one person talked about the Great Loop. As we discussed what made up the Great Loop, he handed me the book, Honey Let’s Buy A Boat, by Ron and Eva Stab. Like many others who read the book, I was totally captured by the adventure. -Lynn, 2007

You can read about their many travel adventures on their blog, carolinacaptains.com, which chronicles their trip around the Great American Loop along with more current boating adventures in the Bahamas Islands and other parts of the world.
We love to share our passion for boating with both new and experienced boaters. We strive to help our clients sell their boat or find the right boat and then to help them feel comfortable in operating it. We are excited about being part of the Sarasota Yacht and Ship Team
